What to look for in a contract
Look for who owns the code, whether you pay a licence fee to keep using it, where the code and data live, and what happens if you end the relationship. If the contract is silent, ask.

We keep the right to reuse general-purpose modules we write in other builds, but nothing specific to your business goes with them: not your data, your rules or your configuration.
