Questions people ask

How are projects priced?

At a fixed price. Most automation projects run $3,000 to $12,000, and a simpler or more involved one can come in below or above that. The free review gives you a preliminary range where there's enough information, and the scoping call that follows ends with a proposal and a fixed quote. That price has room built in for small adjustments to scope as the work takes shape. If you want something bigger changed partway through, we write it up as a change order with its own price, and nothing extra starts until you approve it.

Why is support a range rather than one price?

Because it depends on the solution. Most agreements run $250 to $3,000 a month. It can be less or more, depending on how complex the solution is. Most projects are limited in scope and on the lower end of this range. Regardless, the number is agreed during scoping, before the build starts.

Do I have to take a support agreement?

No. It's optional, and it's a choice you make at scoping rather than a condition of the build. The repository and the documentation sit in your account from the first commit, and the code is yours outright on final payment, so nothing stops you running the system yourself or handing it to another firm. Most clients keep us on, because software people actually use never stops changing, but a small automation that does one job well can sit there and do it.

What does a fractional AI Automation Director cost?

$1,000 to $4,000+ a month, in four tiers with 5 to 20 hours a month at $200 an hour, against our standard $250. There's no setup fee, it's billed quarterly, and you can leave on 90 days' notice. It includes ongoing support for your completed projects, so there's no separate support fee, and new builds are priced as separate projects that don't use your hours.

Can we buy marketing without a build?

Yes. AI-powered marketing and websites are priced on their own, and both are covered on the AI Marketing page: $750 a month per channel, $2,000 a month for all four, and websites from $1,500.

Is there a long-term contract?

Projects are fixed-price, so there's nothing open-ended about them. Ongoing support is optional, and where you do take it, it's a fixed monthly agreement you can end on 90 days' notice. Ending it changes nothing, because you already own the software.
